Three Levels of Spiritual Warfare
The Bible (1 John 2:15-16) talks of three levels of spiritual warfare being waged against human beings -
A. The FLESH - physical attacks against the BODY and SOUL (consisting of Mind, Will and Emotions) including accidents, disease, hatred, rebellion, unbelief
B. The WORLD - the world system based on human desires and attitudes that are anti-God
C. The DEVIL - a supernatural being (also known as Satan) and spiritual forces under his control opposed to God and his creation

Our Problems Stem From Our Rebellion Against God
God has designed us with three crucial needs as can be seen from the diagram above, which are SPIRITUAL in nature. These are for:
• SECURITY in the form of Unconditional LOVE
• SELF WORTH in the sense of knowing I am valued as me which gives me a feeling of JOY
• SIGNIFICANCE or knowing my life has meaning and purpose which gives me PEACE
The problem is that ever since the Fall of Mankind in the Garden of Eden we have been born rebels who want nothing to do with God by nature. The result is we try to dig our own wells, which leads to three contrary emotions -
• ANXIETY/FEAR
• SHAME/GUILT
• ANGER/UNFORGIVENESS
